Dream Staying in an Airbnb for my birthday. Large modern mansion in the woods. Everyone is partying having a good time and then the night winds down and everyone goes to bed. But no one is tired. So I get up to grab a drink from the kitchen and realize there’s other people awake in the kitchen too. Turn the lights on and we all decide to hang out. Off in the distance we hear wolves and I say “there’s no one outside right? We got everyone inside?” And then one of the girls in the group runs to the window and hops outside to make sure. I follow her and so does another buddy. We run outside and notice that the wolves are beginning to attack the neighbors. We can’t tell if they are starting to attack their livestock or the people but the girl hops the fence and runs over there. At that point the wolves turned around and started running towards us. I lose sight of the girl and stand my ground and try to make loud growling noises at the wolves but I can’t be as loud as I normally am. I have somewhat of a muffled growl. The wolves surround me but keep their distance. I make my way backwards up the hill, keeping eye contact with the wolves and swing a stick in a stabbing motion towards them when they get too close, still out of reach of them though. The girl and boy come back into view down the hill and say “he was just going to leave us?” And I say “I was distracting the wolves this whole time, I didn’t know where you guys went.” And then they run past me with baby cows that they are trying to save. They get up the hill before me with 2 of the wolves uphill from me, in between me and the boy and girl, and the 3rd wolf down the hill from me. As I approach the house at the top of the hill I look at one of the wolves and it gives me this look like “I could kill you but I’m not going to” and keeps its distance from me. It ushers the other wolf that’s down the hill to retreat. The wolf at the top of the hill which seemed to be the leader then grabs one of the baby cows as the boy and girl jump back through the window with the rest of the cows. It seemed like it took the baby cow as a tax for bringing us back safe without harm. In a silhouette I see the wolf’s teeth snarl as it kills the baby cow and the wolf looks back at me as I’m running towards the window. It just goes back to the cow picks it up and runs away. I make it back into the house pretty shaken up. Go to grab a drink or food, whichever I can find first and I see a single Twinkie. I pull it out of the wrapping and find out it’s just a hotdog bun and I throw it on the ground in anger/annoyance. Then I wake up.
This dream holds several possible interpretations, but generally, it seems to reflect feelings of being in a situation where you feel responsible for the well-being and safety of others, even if you may feel ill-equipped or overwhelmed at times. The Airbnb mansion in the woods symbolizes a temporary and unfamiliar setting where you are surrounded by people and festivities, possibly representing social interactions or celebrations in your waking life. The presence of wolves could represent looming threats or challenges that you are facing. The wolves attacking the neighbors may symbolize external dangers or conflicts impacting others around you. Your attempt to distract the wolves with a muffled growl and using a stick to keep them at bay could represent your efforts to confront or manage these external threats, even if you feel somewhat ineffective. The girl and boy returning with baby cows could signify that you are not alone in facing these challenges, and there are people around you willing to help and support you. The wolf taking one of the baby cows might symbolize a loss or sacrifice that needs to be made in order to ensure overall safety or success. Your reaction to finding a single Twinkie that turns out to be a hotdog bun and throwing it on the ground in anger or annoyance might reflect feelings of frustration or disappointment with the perceived lack of sustenance or support in a difficult situation. Overall, this dream may suggest that you are dealing with external pressures or threats, and that although you may feel uncertain or overwhelmed at times, there are resources and support available to you. It may be a reminder to draw on the strengths of your relationships and confront challenges with determination and resilience.
